Welcome!

When life feels overwhelming or out of control—because of emotional distress, gambling problems, betrayal or relationship challenges—you don’t have to carry it alone.

Our work together goes beyond managing symptoms to healing at the root. Through Attachment-Focused EMDR, thoughtful guidance, and intuitive exploration, we process painful experiences, shift longstanding patterns, and open the way to a more grounded, connected, joyful, and free life.

I am glad you came to visit.

With more than 25 years of experience as a licensed therapist, I bring clinical expertise, compassion, and an intuitive understanding of what it means to struggle—and to heal.  My approach integrates Attachment-Focused EMDR, trauma-informed care, and relational work to help you understand yourself more deeply, work through painful experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I work with individuals and couples navigating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, betrayal, divorce, grief, and major life transitions. I also have extensive specialized experience treating gambling addiction and supporting partners and families affected by its impact.

Whether you're facing a difficult chapter, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, or hoping to find greater connection and fulfillment, therapy offers an opportunity to heal, grow, and move toward a more grounded, joyful, and fulfilling life.

HOW I HELP:

No matter what brings you here—whether you're healing from betrayal, addiction, or trauma, or struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges—you don't have to face it alone.

My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and straightforward. I listen deeply, offer guidance and perspective, and help you recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll explore what's beneath those patterns, work through painful experiences, and discover new ways of moving forward.

Therapy is also about reconnecting with yourself—your strengths, your values, and the parts of you that may have gotten lost along the way.

My goal isn't just to help you feel better—it's to help you live better, with more peace, clarity, joy, and connection to yourself and the people who matter most.

Meet,

Suzanne Koch Eckenrode
LMFT, BACC, ICGCII, CCGCII

After years in the business world, personal exploration, and my own seasons of challenge, I returned to graduate school to become a therapist. More than 25 years later, I can say with conviction that this is the work I was meant to do.

I bring strong clinical intuition, steady compassion, and a focused, forward-moving approach. Our sessions aren't passive. I actively guide the process, integrating EMDR, insight, practical tools, and honest feedback to help you work through challenges and make meaningful progress. I value depth, efficiency, and transparency—and celebrate both the subtle shifts and powerful breakthroughs along the way.

My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible, even when life feels overwhelming or familiar patterns seem difficult to break. I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and significant life transitions. I also bring extensive specialized expertise in gambling addiction, betrayal trauma, and the impact these experiences have on individuals and relationships.

Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to help you move beyond what has been holding you back and toward a life with greater confidence, connection, and possibility.

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" –Mary Oliver
